Students told to apply for funds

There is an article in Horticulture Week (dd 02.10.08) about the David Colegrave Foundation who are encouraging UK horticulture students to apply for the following bursari
es:
- Wyvale Garden Centre Bursary – Two bursaries on offer of £1500 each for a minimum of five years for students interested in retail horticulture
- Floranova Ornamental Horticultural Reasearch Scholarship – An award of £1500 to support a student with a particular interest in ornamental horticulture research and development
- Ball Colegrove Scholarship Award for 2009 – A bursary of up to £2500 to support a young person employed on a commercial bedding plant nursery to fund work/fact finder travel to Europe
- Ed Markham International Scolarship Award for 2009 – This supports a student in the UK or North America to do International work-study experience. The award is for $4500 (£2500) and will be made to one student annually to work for a minimum of eight weeks in a horticulture business in the US, Canada or the UK. The 2009 award will be for a British student to work in North America.
