Check out the latest (2011) edition of Improved grassland management by John Frame and A.S. Laidlaw which is now available in the library at Moreton Morrell.

 Topics covered include:

  •  sward management for grazing by ruminants and horses
  •  hay and silage making
  •  soils, fertility and nutrients
  •  identification and characteristics of grass and forage legume varieties
  • plant breeding, seed production and choosing seed mixtures
  • climate

This book is on the recommended reading lists for level 2 and level 3 Agriculture students.
